Choosing to get married in Italy is truly something unique and unforgettable, it means deciding to join your lives in one of the most romantic places in the world.
Circumstances vary depending on the municipalities, the nationality of the spouses, the churches and the religious confession. In the case of a marriage with civil and/or religious significance it is necessary
start collecting all the necessary documents at least 6-8 months before the date of the event, and book the church and the location well in advance so that within two months from the date chosen for the celebration all the documents have already been presented to the offices competent and all bureaucratic procedures have been completed.
The documents required vary depending on the nationality of the spouses.

For a legally valid marriage, the ceremony must take place at the town hall, or in the buildings or external spaces established by the Municipality where the ceremony will be held.
